Understanding Project Details
The Projects section of the Talent Dashboard provides valuable information about your client work. By default, it shows only active projects, but you can check the “Show inactive” box in the top right to include past client work.

Project terms & what they mean
- Client: Company name
- Project: The type of project it is, including a subscription, pay-as-you-go, flat-rate project, etc.
- Rate: Your pay rate for the project. Most Talent will only have one rate, which is called Generalist.
- To view the task for a Project, click “>” next to the Client name.

- Start/End Date: When you can start logging time to the project, and the last date you can log time to the project. The project budget expires after the end date or resets the day after the end date.
- If the project is for a monthly subscription, there will be a unique project for each billing period.
- Entries: The total number of time entries tied to the specific project.
- If you have multiple Rates, you’ll see that the entries are broken down by each rate.
- Hours: The total hours worked for the project.
- Pay Rate: Your average pay rate among all project tasks logged to the unique project.
- If you have only one rate, the pay rate will be the same as your rate.
- Payout: The total amount you’re paid for the time you’ve logged the the project.
- If you experience a pay increase during the project period, the payout amount may be less than your actual pay.
- Client Rate: The average cost per hour the client will pay.
- Budget Status: The amount of money or time left in the project, based on the client rate.
